All About Me
Just a space for an over caffeinated mom to release her creative juices.
Welcome! I am so glad you are here!
So, what is this blog all about? Well, I am a momma who works full time from home. That means I am a full-time employee WHILE being a full time stay at home momma. Now, don’t get me wrong. I wouldn’t change it for the world! However, I needed a creative outlet. A bit of space to just be with my thoughts, and I decided to take you all along on the journey with me. So here we are.
This blog is much like my life with toddlers at the moment. A modge podge of random thoughts I have or things I think are interesting. Wondering if this is the mom tribe for you? Well, if you are a mom just doing your best to raise good little humans, while chugging coffee and cursing under your breath, WELCOME TO YOUR TRIBE. If your children leave the house looking photoshoot ready, while you leave the house in a messy bun, a stained tee and leggings you just realized are rubbing a hole through on the crotch, WELCOME TO YOUR TRIBE LOVE! If you have no idea what a crunchy mom or a silky mom is…..well join the club. If you are just trying to live day to day, be a good spouse, hanging on to every little moment with those precious little, cuddly, screaming babies, while also just wishing you could pee in peace, WELCOME TO YOUR TRIBE MOM!
This mom life isn’t for the faint of heart. I have a soon to be three-year-old and a one-year-old. Life in our household is more than chaotic. I live off coffee and curse words, while trying desperately to feed my children all the vegetables and teaching them how we talk “nicely” to each other. STOP! I know, I know. They will mimic how I speak. Got it. Again, the name of the blog is “Just a Human Mom”, so sit down Karen with your mocha latte. I’m trying my best with my two hours of sleep and third cup of black coffee. Ok. Thanks.
We have a large German Shepard named Stella who loves her babies, and we couldn’t of asked for a better dog. Not only am I a toddler mom to my two precious girls, but also a dog mom. This means, when I try to go pee usually there are two toddlers and a dog all crammed into the tiny little space between the edge of the toilet and the tub……… Fun times.
I think as moms we need to talk about the realness of motherhood more. Not just “Oh maternity leave is the best! Those baby cuddles!” or “Sleep when the baby sleeps.” Or “Just you wait till they’re (insert whatever unhelpful tid-bit they might give.)” How absolutely normal it is to be more tired, burned out and cranky than you have ever been, WHILE ALSO being the absolute HAPPIEST you have ever been.
So, my fellow HUMAN MOMMAS, if you are just doing your best to survive and do better for your precious babies, join our club! I’m so glad to have a fellow mom in arms to share my stories with.
